Filling the mehndi cone pictures

(1) To fill the mehndi cone, first make a half inch cut in the corner of the henna filled zip lock bag. (2) Fill the mehndi cone with approximately one tablespoon of henna, or about half the henna cone. Avoid over filling. (3) Fold over each side of the cone, (4) and then over the middle. Be sure to fold the plastic tightly against the mehndi in the tube. (5) Tape down and seal top.

Mehndi Application
Nothing compares to having a new, well made henna cone. A fresh ready to go cone, a snip of the scissors to create a fine tip and it's as good as a box of rubies. Candy for the connoisseur. And when the henna is actually flowing smoothly out of the cone, and the design leads you to where it needs to go, well this is mehndi freedom. However, there are moments that require much patience and continued effort to get it right, so do not despair: trial and error are the rule here.

Basics for applications:
The thicker the skin, the deeper the henna and the longer it remains. Skin is thickest at the sole of the foot and the palm. Henna comes out very deep and dark on these areas. The fingertips and toes have thick skin, and as you move away from these the color begins to lighten. The skin is very thick about the neck and face. Henna comes out light if at all . Another factor effecting color is the skin type of the individual. Some people have sun damage on their out arms and back of neck. This prevents the henna from attaining dark color. Skin type plays a big role, as some folks have skin that takes henna better than others. The most successful areas to apply henna on any skin type or color is palms, soles, finger and toes. Placement of the design and personal care effects the longevity Keep warm while wearing henna paste. Drink hot tea while being adorned with henna to raise body temperature for darker color. Play inspiring music for design flow Practice applying henna onto paper or bananas before actually starting on the skin. Trace over sketches on paper to start to feel the flow of henna

Applying Henna to the skin
1 Wash/scrub areas to be adorned with soap and warm water
2 Visualize design you wish to draw already on the skin.
3 to hold the cone, place end of it into your palm, resting the front of it against your middle finger, until it rests comfortable. Squeeze the tube from behind. Apply henna as slowly as it comes out of the tube. Is the desired texture of henna attained? Too dry or too wet? Adjust this now.
4 Try to keep the henna paste line on the skin, and the cone just above it.
5 If you are unhappy with any portion of your design, remove it with water immediately.
6 Fine touch ups can be done with a toothpick or Q-tip.
